• Fundamentals of functional laboratory testing (genetics, organic acids, gastrointestinal, and hormone panels)
• Overview of key tests and how they differ in clinical application
• How to choose the right test and when
• Walk-through of test reports.

Diana Siepmann, Functional Medicine Consultant & Practitioner Support at Nordic Laboratories & dnalife
Diana Siepmann is a certified Functional Medicine Consultant with more than eight years of experience translating complex biology into clinically actionable insights. With an educational background and professional experience spanning hormone, gut and immune health, she has more recently applied this comprehensive knowledge to providing personalised support in (peri)menopause. A key aspect of this work is the optimisation of metabolic health, which has led to a particular interest in how gut function, microbial ecology and genetic variation interact to influence metabolic regulation - mechanisms that are highly relevant in this life stage but broadly applicable across patient populations. Through her analytical and educational approach, she supports physicians and other healthcare professionals by integrating functional testing and DNA-based insights to translate complex systems biology into practical, personalised strategies aimed at restoring long-term physiological resilience.
